lmolecules containing a small number (3 to approximately 10) of monosaccharide residues connected by glycosidic linkages.
v found in milk.
v reducing sugar (free anomeric carbon)
v non-reducing sugar (the anomeric carbon are not free)
l P/O = 2.5 ATP is produced when NADH is oxidized
l P/O = 1.5 ATP is produced when FADH2 is oxidized
